Cannot open powerpoint viewer attachment in Outlook Express PPS

If you are getting an error when opening a powerpoint viewer attachment in Outlook Express try the following:-

First make sure Outlook Express is not open, if so close it.
1. Click Start --> Run
2. Enter""control folders" --> click "OK"
3. Click Filetype TAB at the top
4. Scroll down to PPS Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Show
5. Click "Advanced"
6. Click the "New" button
7. Type "Open" in the the Action box
8. In the "Application used to perform action:" box enter
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\PowerPoint Viewer\pptview.exe" "%1"

Make sure the use DDE box is unticked
9. Click Ok
10. Click OK

Try opening Outlook Express and re-opening the attachment


    IP
