External Hard Drive Sometimes when the hard disk on your computer is full or has almost run out of space your computer will stop or inform you it cannot do many simple tasks. As memory is not related to Hard Disk, each are different areas on your PC, so increasing the memory ( also known as RAM ) will not solve the problem. It is usually music, video, downloaded software and games files which cause this problem. The easiest solution is to delete some files, however this is not always easy if you have personal pictures and music. I would suggest purchasing and external drive, see the bottom of this page. Copy pictures, music and videos onto it, then delete them from your computer. I would also suggest copying pictures and videos to CD's or DVD's so you have a backup.
