How to repair Internet Explorer or remove unwanted Add-Ons

Internet Explorer 7 - Repair files or incorrect registry info

Do the following :-
  • Start Internet Explorer

  • Click "Tools" --> click "Internet Options"

  • Click "Advanced" tab --> click "Reset"

  • Click "Reset" to confirm

  • Click "Ok"


You may now find certain Toolbars or other website functions are not working

e.g Google Toolbar, Shockwave Flash, Java-plug-in etc.

In order to fix these :-
  • Start Internet Explorer

  • Click "Tools" --> click "Internet Options"

  • Click "Programs" tab --> Click "Manage add-ons"

  • For each add-on you need to use click the add-on then click "enable"

  • Click "Ok"


N.B. If you cannot see "Tools" on the menu bar press the <ALT> key on your keyboard
