How to Restore Files from Windows 7 Backup

Below I detail How to restore Windows 7 files from a backup

You can select individual files to browse and copy from a Windows 7 backup folder

Open Control Panel --> System and Security --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management

Click on Disk Management

Wait for all drives to be shown

Now select the drive where you have backed up your windows 7 computer
(you may need to plug in this drive if it is an external USB drive)

Click Action (at the top) --> select ATTACH VHD

Click Browse and go to the folder which contains your Windows 7 Backup and Select a VHD file, Click OK

You can now see the File is mounted as the next available letter as a drive on your computer as the Autoplay function displays

Browse the Drive and copy any files/folders you require
