Search for :

Mapped drives not showing Windows 7 My Computer

This is due to the mapped drives script running at an elevated level of Administrator

When you view the drives members of the Administrators Group are only classed as Standard User so the drives do not display

To confirm this is the problem do the following:-

1. run cmd.exe by typing it in your search bar
2. right click and Run as Administrator
3. type"net use and enter

all your mapped drives will show

4. type exit

Now do the same but do not run as administrator just double click cmd.exe

You will now only see the standard user drives
